The examination type is very wide and always interesting! You will work closely with the Emergency Department with a varied caseload. To aid your success in this role, you will receive support and required training from our existing staff, as well as in-house education and course attendance where appropriate. You will also play a vital part in training student sonographers. All sonographers spend part of their week performing radiography as part of injury management. The department boasts modern, state-of-the-art equipment. Our team are friendly, sociable, and quality-focused, and we are eager to welcome you!About you: We are looking for a team player who is patient-focused and has a willingness to improve their skills and educate others. We will provide upskilling and education for the right candidate for any areas where their skills are incomplete.Requirements:Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent. Eligible for registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA), hold/current NSW EPA Radiation licence, and ASAR accreditation.Postgraduate qualification in Medical Sonography and registration with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).Participate in the Rosters, overtime, and on-call duties as required by the site, and which may change from time to time.Additional information:To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
