Radiographer (Medical Imaging Practitioner) (503707L9) Australia, Tas Oct 29, 2024 The Role: The Radiographer (Medical Imaging Practitioner) is responsible for:
Performing basic imaging examinations to produce images of the highest diagnostic value possible whilst using ionising radiations, both in general and fluoroscopic radiography. Ensuring compliance with the 'as low as reasonably achievable' (ALARA) principle whilst using ionising and non-ionising radiation to provide images. Assessing medical requests, patient status, and capabilities, ensuring procedure preparation is adequate and in accordance with correct protocol. Using imaging equipment and associated accessories safely. Assessing and monitoring quality of images to ensure appropriate standards are maintained. Negotiating with medical staff in assessing the nature and urgency of examinations. Ensuring that the referring clinician is advised of medically urgent radiological findings. Liaising with staff and the general public in matters relating to general radiography. Candidate must be Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Fourth year students 2024, eligible to apply pending full registration. Details of appointment: Permanent full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $71,441 to $107,878 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
