We are seeking a skilled RF Technologist to join our team and contribute to the design, integration, testing, and documentation of engineering subsystems. In this role, you will work across various disciplines, including RF hardware design, software configuration, and systems engineering documentation. You'll support team members in their areas of expertise and share your knowledge to enhance overall understanding within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, integrate, test, and document engineering subsystems as directed. Plan, manage, and execute testing procedures using appropriate tools and techniques. Produce comprehensive technical documentation. Conduct testing using electronic debugging equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) for fault finding and debugging of embedded hardware devices. Assist in continuous improvement by developing and enhancing procedures. Perform design reviews with guidance. Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in system design, deployment, sustainment, and fault-finding of RF systems. Broad knowledge of earthing, power, transmission, and timing systems. Ability to modify RF equipment and systems to meet bespoke operational requirements. Experience in testing integrated solutions against design specifications. Skills in manufacturing and testing low-volume, bespoke cabling (optical, coaxial, and signaling). Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in satellite communications. Familiarity with Data Centre/Transmission Room systems and design. Electrical Trade certificate. Rope Access and working at heights certifications. Understanding of ARPANSA RF standards. Experience with RoIP technologies.
