About your opportunity: Permanent full-time / Three (3) positions available The Radiation Therapist will provide radiation therapy services within a diverse team of Radiation Therapists with various skills and abilities to oncology patients whilst working as a member of a team in the following clinical areas:
Radiation Therapy Treatment Unit Radiation Therapy Planning Unit The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Clinical expertise: Proven knowledge of radiation therapy principles and procedures and treatment planning principles. Team Participation/Communication: Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Clinical Ability: Proven knowledge and ability to apply radiation therapy treatment and planning principles. Leadership: Demonstrated ability or ability to acquire the skill to provide guidance to less experienced staff members and education to students. What the Townsville Hospital and Health Service has to offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $128,706 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $2941.70 to $4323.80 p.f. (Hp3) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. ( ) Role Requirements: Bachelor of Applied Science (Radiation Therapy) or recognised equivalent from a recognised Tertiary Institution. Membership with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT). Current registration or eligible for registration in by AHPRA. Current or eligible for radiation use licence in Queensland. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
