Racecourse Attendant

We are seeking passionate and professional individuals to join our growing Racing Team.
Greyhound Racing in Queensland has entered an exciting new phase with the amalgamation of the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club and Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club to form the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club (QGRC). In early 2025 QGRC will commence transitioning its operations to The Q greyhound racing facility located in Yamanto, south-west of Ipswich.
The position is initially based at Ipswich Showground and will relocate to Yamanto during 2025.
Tasks & responsibilities Supervision of race night kenneling; Ensuring integrity standards are adhered to; Working in kennels or on track during race meetings and trial sessions; Interacting with greyhound racing licencees and racing officials Qualifications & experience Full training is provided Previous experience within the racing industry is considered an advantage Ability to work within a team environment and to positively influence culture, yet work autonomously without supervision. Ability to take direction Sound communication skills Must have a passion for working with animals Ability to work evenings and weekends is a requirement of this position. Employment is under the Racing Club and Events Award.
