About the role: Rabobank's Strategy & Transformation Office (STO) division is comprised of a Program Office, Organisational Change, Business Process Management & Strategy. This division plays a crucial role in ensuring the success & integrity of projects & programs within the organisation. The division now has an opening for an Operational Risk & Compliance Manager. You will join a small & highly engaged team based in Sydney who work a hybrid mix of in the office & home.
Reporting to the Regional Head of 1st Line Risk, STO, you will provide value adding risk compliance expertise to the STO domain. You will drive the comprehensive implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), encompassing project related risk governance & the monitoring & reporting on control effectiveness. The primary focus is to seamlessly & innovatively integrate all aspects of the RMF into the day-to-day operations of STO business processes. Furthermore, the role actively fosters a culture of risk awareness & compliance within the bank.
Top Role Accountabilities: Driving effective risk management outcomes for the STO domain through the RMF systems, structures, policies, processes & people meet business objectives.Leading & supporting the STO Team on the change & project related risk & compliance activities in line with the Project & Change Frameworks.Collaboratively supporting the project teams to deliver initiatives & outcomes within agreed risk governance processes & the RMF. This includes performing & reviewing risks & controls assessments related to project & change initiatives.Coordinating risk & compliance support during the transition phase from projects into Business as Usual.Ensuring STO & broader bank's incidents & findings are identified, recorded & remediated in a sustainable & timely manner.Giving insights into emerging risks through innovative risk analytics, incidents deep dive, findings & root-cause analysis, draft lessons learned & provide practical recommendations to the STO business.Reviewing policy changes for business appropriateness, & support STO process owners to identify impacted people, processes or systems, & support business to conduct gap analyses of new policies to current risks & controls.Leading the STO domain as the Privacy, Data Management, Policy & RAS Champion.Supporting the Regional Head of First Line to develop, drive & implement the First Line strategy & agenda.To be successful, you will have: A minimum of 5+ years related experience in 1st & 2nd Line risk with a focus on operational & compliance risk, controls & projects is essential.Demonstrated experience in 1st or 2nd Line Advisory roles, in the financial services sector.Experience in risk analytics & dashboard reporting e.g. Power BI.Solid operational risk knowledge.Experience in assessing, managing, evaluating & reviewing risk profiles.Experience in communicating & managing change including delivering training to staff on risk management.What we're proud to offer you: Hybrid way of working at Rabobank, blending time between the office and home.Wellbeing leave: 2 extra leave days supporting greater work/life balance.Education Assistance Program for professional development.Parental Leave: up to 14 weeks paid leave.Bonus and Additional Leave: eligible employees can receive 1 extra week Annual Leave and an option to purchase another 2 weeks Annual Leave.Extra Insurance: employer-funded Death, TPD & Income Protection Insurance for eligible permanent employees.Rabo Workplace Giving program matching employee donations to selected Social Partners.Our Values: Rabobank Australia values inclusion, belonging, & positive experiences for all.
