In this role, our new team member will:
Work with a broad range of clients and technical experts to support the delivery of large and small projects Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments and prepare drafts of detailed reports, environmental impact statements, and management plans under the guidance of senior consultants, ensuring regulatory compliance Conduct research and participate in fieldwork such as data collection activities Liaise with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders and support senior consultants to address environmental concerns and secure project approvals Develop a contemporary understanding of environmental, planning, regulatory and policy requirements Actively engage in on the job learning opportunities and training to build technical expertise and industry knowledge Align and complement our values of integrity, honesty and respect, collaboration and innovation About You We are seeking a team member who not only fits the requirements of the role, but who can complement our values, and drive our commitment to quality, environmental integrity and sustainability.
In addition, successful candidates will have/be:
Tertiary degree/qualification (or pending) with excellent results in a relevant discipline such as environmental science, geology, soil, ecology, water, engineering, law or related sciences. Evidence of participating in work experience placements in environmental fields during studies A genuine desire to build a career in environmental consulting Commitment to developing and maintaining contemporary knowledge and familiarity with environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, and approval processes Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships based on trust and respect High level written communication skills, including the ability to research and prepare clear and concise documents Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw conclusions and articulate recommendations Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites as needed How to Apply Please submit an application including your resume, a cover letter outlining your interest and alignment with the position along with a copy of your academic transcript via the Apply button.
