Starting salary: $29.68-$32.69 plus superannuation
About the roleApplications are being sought for an Offshore Deckhand position on our pontoon maintenance vessel out of Port Douglas. This is a rotating roster of 4 days on, 2 days off. The role requires three nights away living on our offshore vessel on The Great Barrier Reef.
Reporting to the Marine Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Daily preparation and ongoing maintenance of the offshore maintenance vessel, pontoon, small craft and offshore equipmentOperation of small craft and semi-submersible coralviewersDelivery of reef interpretive commentaryProviding a high level of customer service to our guestsEnsuring customer and staff safety is maintained at all timesSafely handling ropes, lines and fendersAssisting other crewmembers as requiredAbout youApplicants require a minimum qualification of:
Coxswains NC1Master 5 (desirable)Other requirements:
