QTC is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with a flair for IT procurement to join QTC's Procurement team as Senior Associate, part of QTC's Risk Division in Brisbane on a permanent basis.
The primary purpose of the role is to assist in providing strategic procurement advice and governance, in line with the procurement operating model whilst applying the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP) principles to identify, evaluate, and select vendors to align with organisational requirements and objectives. You will play a crucial role in providing advice across the procurement lifecycle to support the organisation.
As Senior Associate you will: Lead the engagement of technology vendors, including market evaluation and vendor assessment. Establish and nurture strong vendor relationships, negotiate value solutions, ensure seamless collaboration for supply, quality, and innovation, and provide end-to-end contract management support. Manage all sourcing activities including RFx development, RFx management, commercial negotiation, drafting decision papers and RFx compliance requirements. Collaborate with the Legal team on contract negotiation and drafting, execute approved contracts, and maintain accurate records of all contracts, renewals, and activities in line with organisational policies and frameworks. Identify appropriate contracting method (Master Services Agreements, Standing Offer Arrangement, etc.) and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to capture and address business requirements in all contracts. Lead contract renewals, contract variation management, contract termination and demand / pipeline management. Lead the preparation of RFX documentation and manage the vendor engagement process for high-risk / high-cost sourcing activities, providing evaluations and information for business cases and steering committees as required. Collaborate with the Project Management Office to ensure vendor selection and onboarding align with approved frameworks and policies and ensure all agreements and supporting documents are consistent with progress payments and budgets. Identify and collaborate on process improvement opportunities, while monitoring industry best practices to enhance current processes. Overseeing that the procurement processes undertaken by QTC are conducted in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and QTC's Procurement policy and procedure. Assisting the business to maintain their records in the Contract Management System (CMS). Working with the business to broaden and embed the organisational understanding of the procurement policy and responsibilities. About You: You will be an experienced professional in IT Procurement, Category Management, Contracts, or Commercial roles. Your expertise includes negotiating and drafting technology contracts, covering all commercial and legal terms for IT hardware, software, and services. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to draw out requirements from the business to deliver procurement expertise. You will be a natural problem solver, bringing attention to detail and drive to achieve great results.
You will bring: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong collaboration, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently. Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities, combined with expert planning and execution skills. Technical writing and documentation skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills, along with developed decision making and adaptability skills. Experience in the business operating model capability set with delivered results (preferred) or identified capacity to deliver results across the listed capability areas.
