Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals are seeking highly skilled and dedicated medical professionals to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. As a Senior Staff Specialist, Staff Specialist, or Senior Medical Officer (Emergency), you will be integral to the delivery of high-quality emergency care to the local community. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced clinicians to contribute to a rapidly developing health service while benefiting from the excellent work-life balance that this beautiful coastal region offers.
Your opportunity: Provide expert emergency clinical care and advice to patients to ensure provision of appropriate patient care in the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals Emergency Departments. Provide professional leadership in the area of emergency medicine within a multidisciplinary environment. Provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care team members. Opportunity for Private Practice: The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways. Assistance with credentialing and administrative support to commence private practice. Introduction to local GPs, physicians, and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways. Our offer: We are offering a competitive remuneration package valued up to $452,441 p.a. (pt, 60 hrs p.f.), including salary between $136,579 - $200,008 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $91.84 - $127.77 p.h. (p/t), generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%), salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
