Senior Medical Officer (Rural Generalist with Advanced Skills Training), Rural & Remote Services - ATHERTON Provide high quality clinical care to hospital in-patients and patients at rural clinics. An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Medical Officer to maintain patient safety and be actively involved in leadership, supervision and training of junior doctors and students, adding value to the health service through continual development of clinical knowledge and skills. Further your experience by joining our dedicated team at Atherton Hospital, a modern regional facility.
Remuneration value range from $323,118 up to $471,273 p.a. (L13-L27) FT employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., private practice arrangements, plus an Inaccessibility allowance of $13,800 per annum FT (category 6) 100% paid after twelve months completion period.
Permanent and Temporary hours negotiable.

Working at the Atherton Hospital within rural health services across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, you will contribute as a dynamic Rural Generalist providing high-quality clinical care to hospital in-patients and patients at rural clinics. You will assist the Director of Medical Services, Atherton Hospital in the development of safe medical practice and optimising clinical skills for medical and nursing staff.
You will provide a high standard of care for patients and their families, contributing to improving the health of the local population.
Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.
