As a key member of the teaching and delivery team, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning services to a wide range of clients through:
Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs; Linking with industry, schools, universities, other TAFE and VET providers; Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies; Working in an environment of change and continuous improvement; and Making Great Happen!
This position reports to the Faculty Manager - Business, Food and Salon Services.
TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (short and long term) for educators in various qualification delivery areas. This talent pool may be open for up to 4 months and is for opportunities as they become available.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
SIT30821 – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery; or
SIT40521 – Certificate IV in Kitchen Management Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus: TAELLN411 or its successor or
TAELLN401A; and
TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:
TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or
TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education; Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment. Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
