As the Senior Advisor (Media), you will be an active member of the multi-disciplinary External Affairs team comprising social media, media, and digital content teams that contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the department's communication function. With a primary focus on media, you will plan, manage, and execute integrated content, manage risk, and contribute to department business priorities and strategic objectives that elevate TMR's brand.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Prepare compelling media materials and digital content, encompassing speeches, media inquiries, statements, campaign and event materials, and internal training resources and other public materials as required. Research, plan, and create contemporary communications for media and/or other channels as required to align with TMR's business priorities and strategy. Provide strategic advice for complex and sensitive matters to executives and stakeholders, considering public sentiment, whole-of-government policies, and modern communication solutions. Build strong and productive relationships with content providers and internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely release of relevant and engaging content. Manage, review, and evaluate current processes, practices, digital media campaign initiatives, media content, and strategies to ensure TMR's business priorities and strategic goals are delivered in an efficient, effective, and engaging way. What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, corporate affairs, journalism, or similar, or at least five years of experience in a similar role. Experienced in strategic messaging, copywriting, speechwriting, and editing for a range of communications channels. Demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement and management abilities, including the ability to provide clear strategic advice in achieving communication objectives. Possesses strong organisational, resource, and time management skills. Developed business and political acumen and emotional intelligence. To apply:
