Rangers ensure that Queensland's national parks, state forests, and reserves are protected, accessible, and valued by all Queenslanders.
Rangers work in partnership with local communities and other stakeholders to contribute to the land management, recreational, and conservation outcomes across the protected areas.
Positions are available in the South-East and South-West Region Fire Teams of Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS).
Rangers in a regional fire team function in a collaborative environment to support the operational delivery of the region's planned burn program and respond to bushfire incidents when required.
Works include but are not limited to:
Operational tasks in the form of support and leadership in the delivery of planned burns.Planning tasks such as burn prescription development, fire strategy development, and bushfire risk assessment.The Ideal Candidate Displays a keen interest in Fire Management.Coordinating and leading prescribed burning, fuel reduction, and wildfire response.Exhibits strong organisational skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks with precision.Ability to support and share skills with a diverse group of people.Why Join Us?
