Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and coordinate financial management activities and team members to support successful delivery of the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program. Provide high-level support to the Program Director and broader QTMP team on project financial performance, through establishing and implementing key project financial controls, setting budget expenditure forecast baselines, coordinating project reviews, and monitoring and analysing vital financial indicators, with a focus on ensuring consistent application across the significant program of works. Undertake regular project reviews in conjunction with project managers to audit performance compliance and consistency with the established project financial management processes and systems. Deliver efficient, high quality project reporting services including progress reports, data analysis, graphical report presentations, and reporting templates, enabling improved operational analysis and decision making across the organisation. Lead and deliver project control tasks within TMR's project management systems, including project creation, submission and endorsement of budget change requests, assignment of project cost codes and work breakdown structures, financial approval assessments to support procurement activity, financial completion, and project finalisation activities. Lead, participate, guide, and influence the development and continual improvement of project control practices. This includes identification and implementation of change through systems, policy, and business practices, promoting a consistent and professional approach to project and program controls and associated data management, with a particular focus on financial management. Development and deliver training packages, as required. Pro-actively recommend and implement corrective actions to achieve or exceed baseline targets. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders that manage, report and deliver QTMP programs and projects. Requirements of the Role Management of finance team in liaison with PRS procurement team to streamline workload across the PRS Branch. Supervise and oversee the maintenance of relevant finance databases and contract management for the PRS Branch. Ability to foster connections across teams through collaborative leadership and people management including managing recruitment, performance, development, and team communication, while ensuring a safe and diverse work environment for all. Experience in financial controls and leading complex and strategic finance activities and programs is highly desirable. Experience in pursuing continuous growth with taking personal accountability for learning and eagerly pursues new knowledge and experiences. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
