Role details: The Mental Health Inpatient Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Operational Security and Fire Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your opportunity: To undertake operational duties with a focus on safety, security and fire services for the Mental Health Inpatient Unit on a roster covering day, afternoon and night shifts. Provide an effective, efficient and safe support service to clients and personnel within the facilities, whilst always maintaining client dignity, respect and confidentiality.
About the Team: Adult Mental Health Services are comprised of community-based and hospital inpatient components that provide a range of services to adults with severe mental disorders and/or psychiatric disability residing within the geographical areas covered by Mackay City and immediate surrounds. The Mental Health Unit is located at the Mackay Base Hospital. It is a 20-bed low dependency unit and a 4-bed high dependency unit. The Mackay HHS Security Services comprises a Security Officer Service, Occupational Violence Prevention Service, Care Support Officer Service, and Access Administration Service. These facets of Security Services work supportively of each other, are committed to sustainable service delivery, adherence to the health service's core values, and work in unison to achieve a common goal of protecting Mackay HHS's people and assets.
