About us: Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the QPS, Aviation Capability Group (ACG) and provides government aviation services specialising in both rotary and fixed wing operations in support of the QPS and our partner agencies in regular and emergency response operations across Queensland. The Role: Join QGAir's dynamic rotary wing team in Cairns and make a real difference to the lives of those in need. We are seeking experienced helicopter pilots to fly single pilot, instrument flight rules (IFR) in multi-engine AW139 helicopters. You'll be part of a highly coordinated, multi-crew environment conducting emergency medical, search and rescue and counter-disaster operations. Your role will involve supporting aeromedical, various police and government related missions, and ensuring each operation is conducted safely and efficiently.

What we're looking for: Mandatory requirements: Licences & Ratings Hold a current Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL - Helicopter) Completion of Air Transport Pilots Licence Subjects (Helicopter) Low Level Rating Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 3 Renewals Flight Hours Requirements Minimum 2500 hours total time Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter Minimum 200 hours Night PIC Helicopter Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter Minimum 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter Certifications and Documentation Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Current Class 1 Aviation Medical Highly desirable: Licences & Ratings Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL) Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating Flight Hours Requirements Minimum 100 hours NVIS Operations Type Ratings AW139 Type Rating Certifications & Documentation Hold a current Australian Passport Suitably qualified candidates are encouraged to apply now.
