Join Seven Network as our new Queensland News Editor for 7News.com.au! The Opportunity: 7NEWS.com.au is looking for a dynamic, passionate and driven state Editor to bring the best of Queensland to our more than eight million monthly readers.
Reporting to the Deputy Editor, your responsibilities will include:
Producing compelling digital copy, including exclusives and breaking news, by sourcing accurate information.Establishing excellent relationships with 7NEWS colleagues, including Journalists, Social Media Managers/Producers, Chiefs of Staff and News Directors to ensure efficient, accurate and comprehensive coverage of news items.Managing the 7NEWS.com.au homepage on occasion to ensure readers continue to see Seven as a destination platform.Sourcing and producing eye-catching and compelling imagery and video to complement, reinforce and strengthen coverage of news.About You: You will have a passion for journalism and a drive to deliver accurate and compelling stories, a track record of producing reliable journalism and possess a keen understanding of what resonates with digital audiences nationwide.
You will have: Proven experience as a digital editor and news reporter.Experience using a CMS with a working knowledge of SEO practices.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.The ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines and juggle conflicting priorities.An understanding of what it takes to run a homepage and social media pages.Why Seven Network?
