Join Seven Network as our new Queensland News Editor for 7News.com.au! The Opportunity: 7NEWS.com.au is looking for a dynamic, passionate and driven state Editor to bring the best of Queensland to our more than eight million monthly readers.
Reporting to the Deputy Editor, your responsibilities will include:
Producing compelling digital copy, including exclusives and breaking news, by sourcing accurate information. Establishing excellent relationships with 7NEWS colleagues, including Journalists, Social Media Managers/Producers, Chiefs of Staff and News Directors to ensure efficient, accurate and comprehensive coverage of news items. Managing the 7NEWS.com.au homepage on occasion to ensure readers continue to see Seven as a destination platform. Sourcing and producing eye-catching and compelling imagery and video to complement, reinforce and strengthen coverage of news. About You: You will have a passion for journalism and a drive to deliver accurate and compelling stories, a track record of producing reliable journalism and possess a keen understanding of what resonates with digital audiences nationwide.
You will have: Proven experience as a digital editor and news reporter. Experience using a CMS with a working knowledge of SEO practices. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines and juggle conflicting priorities. An understanding of what it takes to run a homepage and social media pages. Why Seven Network?
