About the Role The role of an Offsider is to assist the Driller with general duties including but not limited to:
Mobilizing rig from one set up to anotherHandling drilling rods and core tubesHandling core – removing from tubes, placing in core boxes and labelling the boxMixing Drill Fluid AdditivesCleaning equipment and keeping work area cleanAssisting with equipment maintenance and repairsField-based FIFO roleTo be considered for DDH1 Offsiding positions, you will need to MEET the following requirements: Candidates must be physically fit, love the outdoors and prepared to work in all weather conditions. Contracts are either remote exploration or mine site based on various roster rotations.
Additional employment requirements include:
HR-B (Synchromesh) Drivers LicenceCurrent Police Clearance, less than 3 months oldProvide First Aid CertificateFlexibility in working ALL three rosters: 4:2 (4 weeks on, 2 weeks off), 2:1 (2 weeks on, 1 week off) or 20:10 (20 days on, 10 days off)Pass a stringent pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol testAbility to work as a safe and cooperative team playerManual labouring experience and be physically fit to cope with the demands of the position.Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.What's in it for you?
