Are you a visionary educational leader passionate about supporting students with disability?
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Special School Principal Relieving Pool.
As part of our relieving pool, you will have the opportunity to lead in various special schools across the state to ensure every student realises their potential.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Applicants need to be a current Queensland Government employee to be eligible to apply.

About Us:
Our special schools are dedicated to providing a high-quality education to all learners.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support as a relieving principal in special schools.
Foster a positive school culture that celebrates diversity and promotes student well-being.
Ensure the smooth operation of the school in the absence of the regular principal.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to maintain a positive school culture.
Support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies and interventions.
Communicate with parents and external stakeholders, promoting open lines of communication and engagement to address concerns and provide updates.
Manage and allocate resources effectively to support student learning and achievement.
Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
Desired Skill Set:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Passion for supporting students with disability.
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively in different school settings.

It is recommended that prospective applicants discuss with their current supervisor support for the application, capacity to release, and that the classification level/s nominated are appropriate.
