Procurement and Facilities Services Branch are seeking a highly motivated Principal Procurement Officer to join our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Category Management team to fill a temporary position.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the delivery of procurement projects including initial planning, development of relevant documentation and establishment of contracts.

As the Principal Procurement Officer you will work as part of the team to provide high quality advice and services to the department. The Principal Procurement Officer reports to the Director, Procurement Services, Procurement and Facilities Branch, Finance and Assurance Services Division. Your Role: Oversee and deliver high quality procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, and contract negotiation, formation, management, and administration activities. Provision of expert advice to clients in a relevant, timely and accurate manner on matters relating to the procurement function. Advise, guide and mentor branch staff on state and Department procurement policies and practices, internal branch processes, and templates used to deliver procurement services to clients. Maintain a detailed documentary record of procurement processes, decisions, and contractual arrangements undertaken ensuring the audit trail is adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability and audit purposes. About You: Comprehensive working knowledge of the Queensland Government's Procurement Framework (or similar), processes, policy and legislation, tender and contracting procedures, and contract management processes. Well organised, able to multi-task with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, effectively manage competing priorities, and remain agile in a fast-paced working environment. A confident communication style with the ability to tailor correspondence and advice across management levels and depending on your audience. You will have experience as an active team member working within an inclusive team environment. Level 3 or higher in Government (Procurement and Contracting). Sound working knowledge of the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) Framework (or similar). Interested?
