The Team Lead, ICT Purchasing is responsible for leading a team in the purchasing, billing and administrative maintenance of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) goods and services, including hardware and software.
The role will lead and manage priorities in the day-to-day operation of the team, assist with program and project support activities, and provide general administrative support to the work unit.
The role will also assist the Director, ICT Programs and Service Management with cashflow analyses, reporting and preparation of journals; and coordination of the QAS ICT asset replacement and management process as required.

Key attributes required:
Proven knowledge of the Queensland Procurement Policy, State Procurement Plan and QAS financial and procurement policies and procedures, particularly in relation to the acquisition of ICT goods and services necessary to support ICT programs. Demonstrated ability to lead a team, set and achieve realistic goals, and establish work priorities to meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes; with a proven capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse data with a high level of attention to detail. Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills with the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Proven success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to a range of corporate support functions including asset management, finance and human resources. Proven ability to lead and work effectively as part of a collaborative team to achieve business objectives and meet client service standards and a demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and best practice. Whilst not mandatory, possession of Level 1 - Procurement Fundamentals and Level 2 - Intermediate Procurement under the Queensland Government Procurement Certification Program is highly desirable. Applicants without this certification must have the ability to acquire this certification immediately upon appointment. Whilst not mandatory, knowledge of and experience in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other tools and technology; and knowledge of and experience in the use of Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Financials within the public sector, as well as experience in job logging tools and processes is also highly desirable.
