The Senior Human Resources (HR) Consultant is responsible for the provision of advice and support to the QAS region in relation to a broad range of contemporary HR management issues, activities and processes; contributing to the effective management and development of the regional workforce.
The role provides a high level of support to the Manager, Workforce and regional leadership team in delivering organisational reform outcomes and ensuring that local regional HR practices are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation and QAS policy.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Proven effective capabilities in managing and delivering contemporary, best practice HR services, including the ability to provide high level advice and expertise to management in order to achieve performance excellence in human resource management.
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing human resource management, and the ability to apply that knowledge in a public sector workplace.
Proven success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to a wide range of human resource functions.
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to generate and interpret performance data to drive performance improvement.
Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
Whilst not mandatory, possession of tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in human resource management or another relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
