The role of the Fair and Inclusive Practice Unit (FIPU) is to work collaboratively with and advise the Commissioner and QAS leaders on strategic priorities and initiatives relating to diversity, inclusion and equity, to drive cultural change across the QAS.
The unit works in partnership with regions and portfolio areas to engage with and better understand the issues and challenges facing their staff, supervisors and leaders and through the Fair and Inclusive Practice Network, guides the development and implementation of local initiatives that embed inclusion, equity and fairness.
The Senior Advisor supports and contributes to a range of fair and inclusive workforce reform initiatives, projects and practices, that empower and drive sustainable change to create diverse, fair, equitable, inclusive and respectful workplaces.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes: Experience in developing, coordinating, managing and supporting fair and inclusive initiatives and projects. Experience in providing high level advice and consultancy services regarding strategic organisational objectives relating to the workforce reform agenda. Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and provide quality advice and solutions for continual improvement. Knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues impacting fair and inclusive work practices in the delivery of ambulance services, to enable the implementation of innovative workforce solutions. Ability to support the development and implementation of organisational change and workforce engagement initiatives. Demonstrated high level communication, consultation and collaboration skills, to build and maintain effective relationships, provide advice and negotiate where required with key internal and external stakeholders, to achieve expected organisational outcomes.
