As a team member at QAL, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by: Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures Completing planned and breakdown maintenance on pumps, pipework, valves, conveyors, mills, turbines and associated equipment including overhauls, installations and assembly change-outs Diagnosing and recommending repair methods Monitoring, isolating, commissioning and performing preventative maintenance and conducting operational activities Identifying, developing and implementing improvements relating to the plant equipment, work processes and practices Effectively communicating with section stakeholders and peers to safely achieve maximum productivity of a high standard About you To be successfully considered for this role, you should have: Demonstrated ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner Willingness to learn new skills Forklift, dogging and rigging tickets would be advantageous Demonstrated experience in fixed plant maintenance Ability to make sound judgments to ensure plant integrity is maintained at all times Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team and to autonomously manage your workload A commitment to continuous improvement by identifying process and cost saving initiatives What's on offer We know there are many aspects of our employees' lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life.
