Operate and Assist Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry.
We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Wollert Quarry, a 1-hour drive north of the Melbourne CBD.
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will: Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment.Operate a heavy vehicle (excavator/front end loader/dump truck).Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing, and shoveling.This role is a great fit for you if you have: Solid interpersonal and communication skills.Total commitment to risk management and OH&S.A positive work ethic and ability to work within Heidelberg Materials' values and philosophies.Experience on CAT 990/992 advantageous.Articulated dump truck, rigid haul truck experience preferred.Rock breaker experience favourable.Tickets for heavy machinery not required, but experience is essential.Experience in either Quarrying or Mining.The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.What we offer: Hourly base rate from $34.53, pending experience, plus penalty rates, plus super.Monday to Friday – average hours 6:00am – 2:00pm.Rostered half day Saturday shifts, working every second, depending on workload and production requirements.Be part of a highly recognised global brand name and growing organisation.Company provided uniform and PPE.Ongoing career and development opportunities.Heidelberg Materials Australia is an equal opportunity employer, and we employ people from all walks of life.
