Quarry Operator | Canberra Quarry We have an opportunity for a Quarry Operator to join our team at our Canberra Quarry, situated in Williamsdale, 40kms south of Canberra.
This role will be reporting to the Quarry Manager and is a permanent full-time role, working Monday to Friday, up to 12 hours per day. Your current roster will see your day starting at 6:15am and finishing at 5pm. Saturday work will be according to business needs.
We are seeking applicants who have a passion for safety and value strong work ethic, as well as be willing and able to work a varied role in crushing plant operations, general maintenance duties and weighbridge attendant.
Experience with mobile plant preferred, however training will be provided in the operation and maintenance of the fixed plant. All you need is a 'can do' attitude. In your new role with us, you will: Operating Mobile Equipment including Dump Trucks (rigid), Front End Loaders (Sales Loader experience using load right is preferred) and Excavators Operating the crushing and screening plant General fixed plant maintenance and inspections During busy periods we expect all employees to pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks where needed to get the job done This role is a great fit for you if you have: Hold ticket/s to relevant quarry machinery - desirable but not essential if you're willing to learn! Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude Prepared to put in the extra effort and be a team player Although not essential, crushing and screening experience will be highly regarded Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials Australia sites) What we offer: Fixed rate of $41.14 per hour + super Saturday allowance payable when working weekends Company uniforms and PPE supplied Be part of highly recognised global brand name and growing organisation Ongoing career, training and development opportunities About Heidelberg Materials With more than 4,000 employees across 300 sites, we have an extensive production and logistics network across Australia.
