Boral Quarries is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Quarry Manager to lead operations at our site in Orange, NSW.
As the Quarry Manager, you'll report directly to the Quarries Operations Manager and be at the helm of site activities, focusing on safety, environmental stewardship, quality control, and operational and financial performance.
Your role will involve cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the broader community, leveraging your commercial insight to drive cost efficiencies, growth, and continuous improvement.
Your day will involve: Safety First: Champion and enforce safety protocols to achieve outstanding performance outcomes.Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations effectively, ensuring production priorities align with quality standards, budgets, and forecasts.People Leadership: Lead and inspire staff and contractors through hands-on management and mentorship.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site adheres to all licensing, consent, and regulatory requirements.Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in strategic planning and execution of both short-term and long-term Capital Works and maintenance.What are we looking for? Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in Quarrying Operations or Mining with a strong track record of leadership.Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to proactively identify, manage, and resolve issues as they arise.Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing budgets, with a focus on controlling expenditure and costs.LEAN Manufacturing Experience: Familiarity with LEAN principles is highly desirable.Qualifications: Relevant Quarry management qualifications and/or tertiary education.This role is ideal for a proactive leader with innovative thinking and the ability to mentor and motivate a dedicated team, including Operators and a Quarry Supervisor.
