Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Brisbane Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the costs and finances of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with civils/infrastructure experience to contribute to a diverse range of projects and further their career in the construction industry. Responsibilities: Conduct cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects. Analyse blueprints and specifications to accurately estimate material, labour, and equipment costs. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop cost-effective solutions. Monitor project progress and expenditures, identifying areas for cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and submit progress and cost reports to clients and stakeholders. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in commercial construction/building projects. Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and project management principles. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
