Madisons Recruitment are currently working with a highly reputable commercial contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client are a leading design and build contractor in their specialist field with a variety of projects across the UK.
Candidates looking for a long engagement should be willing to travel to projects across the UK – the first project will be located in Purfleet.
Your responsibilities:
Building and maintaining upon client relationships. Commercially management of contracts: application preparation, Identify and value client change requests, managing client valuations. Serve contract notices in accordance with the contract, and customer / company policy. Sub-Contractor commercial management: Tendering process and negotiations, Placing orders, and contracts. Managing subcontractors' applications, variations, payments, and final accounts. Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and Customers' representatives. Project Reporting. Reporting to Senior staff; Compiling Monthly CVR Reports and commercial risk report and cost forecast. Building and implementing systems of work within the QS department to achieve the above. Requirements: 
Degree within Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying / equivalent qualification 5- 8 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management. Knowledge in construction planning and understanding of construction execution. Ability to manage contracts, calculations, and budgets Positive, Self-assured and motivated Productive, flexible and eager to learn A natural leader, motivating and inspiring Willing to travel across the country and abroad as required Benefits include:
