About the Position Operating under the Laing O'Rourke Group, Select Plant Hire boasts one of the industry's most extensive and varied equipment, accommodation, and tool inventories to meet the requirements of all construction projects.
We are currently on the lookout for a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to join our Sydney team based in Select Australia Seven Hills. This role offers promising career prospects with a leading privately owned, top-tier construction company.
Key Duties Support in subcontractor procurement activities, including preparing, issuing, adjudicating, recommending, and awarding subcontract and supply agreements with detailed input from the engineering and construction teams.Prepare and submit progress claims and ensure prompt payments.Manage subcontract agreements, processing interim payment claims and final accounts.Handle claims for variations and additional entitlements to time and money.Submit and resolve contractual claims for time and money.Engage in the preparation, submission, and agreement of variations when necessary.Provide counsel to the project management team on contractual matters and initiate correspondence.Create, review, and submit reports within specified timelines, including equipment and cost reports.Review change management processes.Desired Skills Possess a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Commercial Law.Demonstrate intermediate-level experience in a similar role, preferably with Tier 1 construction contractors in Australia.Show proficiency in procuring subcontract packages.Individuals experienced in mining and resource-focused construction projects are encouraged to apply.Exhibit strong technical and negotiation skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders are highly valued.Strive for results and promote a collaborative work approach.Perks We are dedicated to fostering an environment that brings out the best in our employees.
