Select Plant Australia is the only total solutions provider within the plant industry and continues to grow and maintain one of the broadest plant ranges and capabilities within its global markets.About the roleSelect Plant Hire operates as part of the Laing O'Rourke Group and has one of the industry's largest and most diverse ranges of equipment, accommodation and tools to deliver on every type of construction project.We are currently seeking aQuantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to join our Sydney team at Select Australia Seven Hills. This role presents excellent career opportunities with a leading privately owned, tier 1 constructor.Key responsibilitiesAssist with the procurement of subcontractors including preparing, issuing, adjudicating, recommending & awarding subcontract and supply agreements with detailed input from engineering & construction team.Preparation and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts.Process claims for variations and additional entitlement to time & money.Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims for time & money.Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission & agreement of variations.Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.Prepare, review & submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).Review change management.About youA tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commercial Law.Hold an intermediate level of experience in a similar role, having worked for Tier 1 construction contractor companies in Australia.Experience with procurement of subcontract packagesCandidates with experience working on mining and resource type construction projects are encouraged to apply.A high level of technical and negotiation skills.Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.A results driven and collaborative approach to work.BenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
