As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost estimating, budgeting, preparing tenders, contract administration and cost control of construction projects. You will be required to gather and analyze data relating to project costs, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of all cost-related information. You will be expected to work closely with the project team and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered within budget and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities:Attend meetings with Clients and ConsultantsPrepare cost estimates, cost plans and set budgets for projectsUndertake measurement for preparation for cost estimates, cost plans and preparation of BQsTo come up with potential Value Engineering options to ClientsPreparation of tender documentsContract advice to clients on form of contract utilizedConduct commercial tender review together with clients / project managersAssist in award of tendersConduct site visits as needed for monthly valuations and assessments of variationsPrepare and maintain accurate cost reports for the project team and stakeholdersLiaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for updating pricingPerform other duties as required by the clients or by managementManage internal team including coordination with colleaguesParticipate in internal workshops / trainings Teamwork within our environment is crucial. Working within both an internal and external team requires constant communication to execute projects smoothly. What is required from youQualificationsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience0-10 years of experience in a similar role or related field is requiredPreference is given to those with Consultant QS related experienceSoftware Experience would be preferred : AutoCAD / CostX Your personality is key to us CharacteristicsStrong analytical and numerical skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyGood communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelWillingness to work on construction sites and travel as requiredStrong work ethic and ability to work under pressureAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn and develop skills in quantity surveying#J-18808-Ljbffr
