Quality Systems Officer (Part-Time) To start ASAP until Decemnet 2025 Location: Adelaide CBD (with travel required) Pay Rate: $51.56 per hour + Superannuation Position Type: Part-Time (0.6 FTE) – Flexible Days (Monday-Wednesday / Wednesday-Friday / Tuesday-Thursday) About the Role: An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Systems Officer to join one of South Australia's State Government agencies.
In this role, you will play a key part in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of operational aspects of quality and information management systems across various workgroups.
These systems cover Environmental, Drinking Water Quality, Work Health and Safety (WHS), and Operations, contributing to the continuous improvement of business practices and effective compliance risk management in the delivery of water and wastewater services.
Your expertise will help ensure the agency's adherence to quality standards, regulatory frameworks, and best practices, ultimately supporting our mission to provide high-quality services to the community.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor quality and information management systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Collaborate with operational workgroups to enhance business practices and ensure the systems meet the needs of environmental, water quality, WHS, and operations teams.
Manage and assess compliance risks, providing advice and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Support the development and maintenance of documentation and reporting tools related to quality and compliance activities.
Undertake audits, assessments, and reviews of operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
Assist with the delivery of training and communication regarding quality systems and compliance requirements.
Travel to various operational sites as required to support quality and compliance activities.
About You: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of quality management systems, compliance risk management, and operational procedures, ideally within the water and wastewater services sector.
You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
The ability to travel to operational sites as required is essential.
Key Selection Criteria: Demonstrated experience in quality management, information systems, or related areas.
Sound knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations, particularly in water quality, environmental, or WHS systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and recommend improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness and ability to travel to operational sites within South Australia.
