This is a full-time, permanent position based in the South Canberra district.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesOversee quality systems/processes and conduct internal audits, monitoring for non-conformance trends and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implementedDevelop, implement and improve quality strategy plans, policies, procedures and practices as described in the Management SystemReview and analyse statistical data using quality management software to identify areas for improvementAssist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, guidelines and control recordsConduct risk assessments and address potential quality issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product, service and asset performance targets Skills and RequirementsTertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, Business, Management, Mathematics, or a related field would be beneficialPrior experience in coordination of quality management activities in a similar role (e.g. Quality Manager, Lead Auditor, Quality Engineer / Lead / Supervisor / Manager etc.)Strong understanding of quality management systems, tools and relevant ISO standardsKnowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologiesExperience working in defence or equivalent regulated industries would be beneficial (e.g. manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, mining, power, utilities, telco, rail etc.) NOTE: To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – NV1.
