Overview:
Quality Staff Engineer Responsibilities:
The Position:
The Quality Engineer reports directly to the APAC Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager and provides oversight, development, and maintenance of Part-145 Regulatory Compliance (RC) programs, approvals, processes, and procedures ensuring adherence to policies and standards within the framework of Naonal Aviaon Authority (NAA) requirements. Collaborates and supports Panasonic Technical Services (PTS) with RC leadership providing guidance and support. Performs technical administraon in the achievement of maintaining compliance of the audit schedule and issuance of authorisations.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Program Monitoring & Authorisations
Provides interpretation of policies, regulatory/governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance.
Develop and maintain procedure framework to ensure regulatory, customer and internal compliance requirements are met.
Ensure upkeep, assessment and distribution of all regulatory material and ensuring compliance with such documents.
Audit
Audit various PAC locations to verify that regulatory, customer and internal RC requirements are met.
Plan, conduct, and complete audits for compliance to Part-145 & SMS requirements.
Record any observed non-compliance/conformance or unacceptable standards and bring to the attention of the responsible manager/individual concerned, with a time scale for remedial action to be completed.
Monitor preventative/corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.
Support and interface with PAC Customers and NAAs during site certification or recertification audits.
Support special audits and independent assessments as assigned.
Process Improvement
Ensure RC programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.
Collaborate with the global RC team to develop uniform standards worldwide.
Evaluate and develop improved (effectivity) techniques for the control of compliance and increased customer satisfaction.
Analyze performance/activity data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Recommend and support corporate level improvement initiatives and actions whilst ensuring that NAA compliance takes precedence. Prepare presenta
ons and report on activities relating to RC activities.
Training
Develop, deliver, and improve RC related training.
Other tasks
Maintain and update RC databases/sources as applicable.
Any other duties as assigned by the APAC Senior Manager.
25% of both domestic and international travel may be required.

Knowledge And Skills Requirements:

Education/Experience Requirements:
Avionics Line Maintenance and Repair experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Experience of airside ramp environment.
Ability to work in a highly visible & demanding environment.
Ability to interact at all levels of internal and external customers
Knowledge of SMS, CASA/CAANZ/GCAA/FAA/EASA and other NAA (as applicable) regulations for Maintenance Repair Organizations (MRO).
Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Project, MS Visio)
Requires strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey/sell ideas, share key information, and generate enthusiasm/participation across all departments.
Ability to adjust communication styles for various audiences.
Ability to work effectively within a multicultural environment.
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Works on problems and projects of complex/advanced scope.
Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Bachelors in Aviation Maintenance or Aviation related discipline or equivalent experience in the Part 121/145 regulatory framework is desirable.
LAME/A&P/Part-66 license experience/knowledge
