We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team, focusing on operational excellence and Quality Management System implementation, particularly in managing quality lab for high-throughput screening programs. Key responsibilities entail implementing and overseeing the Quality System in alignment with ISO standards (ISO 17025), ensuring regulatory compliance, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting risk assessments, managing risk registers, and reviewing and approving test reports. 
Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, the Quality Specialist spearheads initiatives to refine quality control measures, validate processes and equipment, and develop and update policies to align with national and international regulations.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Minimum of a Bachelor degree with at least 3 years relevant work experience in a biopharmaceutical, research and/or a GLP/ISO 17025 environment. Proven experience in generating and implementing Quality frameworks. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain core QMS documents such as Quality Policy, Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other technical or quality-related documents. Demonstrated experience in reviewing and analysing batch history records. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Experience in the evaluation and release of test results according to defined criteria. Ability to provide support and guidance to external and internal clients. TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This position is a fixed term contract role in a full time or part time (0.8 – 1.0 FTE) capacity. Salary is based on Scientific Support Group TAP 7 plus superannuation and Not-for-Profit salary packaging options are available.
