About the role As part of the Quality, Safety and Risk (QSR) team the role of Quality Safety and Risk Manager works to ensure that HammondCare services have a focus on the quality delivery of care and services and consistently striving for the improvement of care, service and staff safety.
Managers in the QSR team work closely with the residential services to ensure that our services are aligned with HammondCare's philosophy, models of care and support the achievement of the service's goals and aims. The QSR Manager provides leadership for the support for the core business and the service delivery of the organisation.
This permanent full-time role is based at Waratah - Newcastle. It is a hybrid role with working from home opportunities. Key Responsibilities include Supporting our services in understanding the effectiveness of the operations of their services, alignment with the Mission and Mission in Action and the ongoing trendsMaintaining relationships with the services that encourage service management and staff to escalate concerns and a willingness to work with QSR on innovation and improvementMaintaining a customer focus approach and engage stakeholders at every level, ensuring their understanding and support for the organisation's ongoing commitment to quality improvementUndertaking investigation, reviews and audits as scheduled or triggered by changes in service delivery or as requested by the Residential Quality, Safety and Risk ManagerMonitoring and analysing data in relation to incidents, feedback and quality activities to support services to make information decisions and have an understanding of the trends occurring within their serviceEscalating concerns or sentinel events to the Quality, Safety and Risk Head of RegionSupporting and assisting services to identify and implement quality improvement projects based on feedback and audit resultsSupporting services in meeting the requirements of any external regulatory reviews or other external visits and provide onsite support during these eventsAbout You Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in ActionAt least 2 year's demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse in the Aged Care sectorCurrent AHPRA registrationExperience and knowledge of Health and/or Residential Aged Care, continuous improvement, quality management and accreditation standards and processesStrong interpersonal, communication & written skillsStrong administrative and computer skillsAbility to work autonomously and achieve resultsBenefits We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including:
