Katherine West Health Board Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a Quality Risk and Safety Officer. This is a full-time continuing position.
The Quality, Risk and Safety Officer is integral in supporting Katherine West Health Board in maintaining a safe environment for both staff and clients while promoting a culture of improvement across the operations, ensuring that our services are responsive to the unique needs of the communities served. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about safety and quality whilst also supporting continuous improvement. This position will expand your knowledge and insight into the corporate functions of a remote primary health care service and develop highly sought after transferrable skills.
Position Description
Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.
Responsibilities Will Include (but Not Limited To) Conducting audits relating to quality, risk and safety in our communities, utilising the KWHB Quality Management System (QMS)Preparing reports on audit findings, highlighting key issues and recommending corrective actionsIdentifying and promoting opportunities for process improvements and working collaboratively with the Manager Quality, Risk and SafetyProviding general administrative support and participating in meetings with healthcare staff and other stakeholdersBenefits
