AQS has a wide role in the learning and teaching environment at VU, playing a significant role in academic governance through policy development, monitoring, and direct reporting to the Academic Board.About the Role:The Quality Partner role will support the Director Academic Quality and Standards and the Chief TAFE Officer to ensure the delivery of TAFE courses offered to Vocational Education students at VU meet regulatory requirements and grow the university's reputation as a dual sector-provider.
The position requires collaborating as a team member with other internal stakeholders to achieve and maintain high standards of quality and compliance with the relevant Vocational Education and Training Sector regulatory frameworks, requirements and standards.Examples of the duties you may perform are: Supporting the Director Academic Quality and Standards and Senior Quality Partner in providing strategic advice to VU TAFE, as well as identifying and mitigating risks and finding opportunities for continuous improvement.
Supporting the Director Academic Quality and Standards and aligning business processes and systems with the requirements of external regulatory agencies, and to support the Tertiary Education Portfolio to meet enterprise level objectives in accordance with the VU Strategic Plan Supporting VU TAFE to manage professionally accredited courses through the accreditation cycle This is a full-time position at HEP 8 classification, with salary range of $106,346 - $119,760 per annum plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week over a continuing contract period.About the Person:To be considered for this role, you should possess: A deep commitment to improving the experience and outcomes of learners Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices within the education and VET sector Enthusiasm for innovation and a practical approach to problem-solving A multi-sector perspective and understanding of VET and Higher Education, informing the development and implementation of initiatives The ability to understand, influence, and interact with shared services and systems across the organisation, impacting VET quality and compliance practices, teaching and learning, and OHS matters What We Offer:
