About the Ngaanyatjarra CouncilWelcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert.
Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres, and land services.
It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.Our Vision:Representing the aspirations and interests of our diverse communities, we are dedicated to keeping Yarnangu strong on Country.The Opportunity:We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our Safety, Health, Quality, and Environmental (SHQE) Management System.
As a Quality Officer, you will work closely with management to ensure that our operations comply with ISO certifications and relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.This role will involve assisting in the coordination and documentation of quality audits, both internal and external, while managing and maintaining SHQE system records and compliance.
You will help ensure that the company's quality standards are upheld across various projects and that all policies are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organization.As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to drive improvements in processes and systems, track actions, manage compliance documentation, and support staff training initiatives.

With experience in quality assurance or a similar field, you have a strong understanding of managing quality systems, documentation, and audits.
You are familiar with ISO certifications and have a keen eye for identifying areas for improvement, ensuring that safety, health, and environmental standards are consistently met.You thrive in a collaborative environment and are confident working with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of quality systems.
Your excellent communication and organizational skills make you adept at managing multiple tasks, tracking actions, and maintaining accurate records.You are highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure, always committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
