Our residential aged care facility caters to men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or who have experienced financial or social disadvantage.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery under Aged Care and NDIS as well as WHS legislation. This role will oversee compliance with relevant legislation, coordinate training and ensure effective incident reporting and resolution.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Develop and implement a Quality Improvement Plan aligned to the Aged Care Quality Standards and tailored to the needs of the facilityCollect and submit National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program DataWork along with Director of Cares and Director of Quality and Operations to conduct regular audits, collate data and provide detailed reports with recommendationsFoster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging staff at all levels to identify areas of improvement in care and operationsIn conjunction with Nurse Educators, provide regular training sessions on quality improvement and risk managementConduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and create and implement strategies to mitigate the identified risksDevelop strong working relationships with MA Aged Care staff and other internal and external stakeholdersParticipate in internal and external meetingsRequirements for Success Registered Nurse or other Health Professional with current AHPRA registrationMinimum of 3 years' experience in aged careExperience in delivery of quality programsExcellent analytical skills with experience in conducting audits, data analysis and reportingStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teamEvidence of Influenza and COVID immunisations within the past 12 months are requiredBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, NDIS and AHPRA registration checks.
