About The RoleIn this role, you will drive excellence within the Community Care Department, offering expert support in quality management, compliance, auditing, clinical services, client care, and incident management. A key innovator in continuous improvement, this role ensures the department is well-prepared for upcoming Support at Home guidelines and enhanced provider obligations.Work type: Temporary full-time (until May 2026)Classification: Band 6 $90,263 - $97,365 pa plus superKey responsibilities include:Provide and maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in areas of quality specialty and relevance, related to the management of the frail aged, people with dementia, people with disabilities, and their carers.Ensure consistent, effective, and efficient administrative and incident systems are maintained. Ensure regular collection and reporting of statistical and other data.Contribute to and actively participate in the Quality program in Community Care, including but not limited to assisting with incident and complaint management, continuous improvement, training and development of staff, and identification and actioning of SIRS.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have detailed knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and methods of Regulatory audit as well as a tertiary qualification relevant to the role. In addition, you will have:Proven experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring continuous improvement activities in a community aged care setting.Proven clinical experience in a clinical/quality-related role, or capacity to adapt skills and experience quickly.Awareness and support of the philosophies of healthy ageing, consumer directed care, promotion of independence and non-intrusive care, and general disabilities, including a collaborative approach to decision-making.Sound knowledge of the Home Care Package Program (HCPP) and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and developing Support at Home Program, both operationally and including the underpinning legislation.Knowledge of government and community resources available for frail aged people, people with dementia, people with disabilities, and their carers.Program planning and development skills.Research and evaluation skills including data collection and analysis.Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).If this sounds like the role for you, then click apply now!Child Safety ResponsibilitiesWe are committed to being a child-safe organisation and have zero-tolerance for child abuse.
