About this Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to join our team.
The role covers our production sites in Dandenong South, Longwarry, Jindivick and Griffith.
Reporting to the GM, Cheese with a dotted line to the National Quality Manager,  you will oversee the compliance to standards across the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials through to the finished goods on arrival at the customer for all 4 of our cheese and ingredients manufacturing facilities across the country.
* This role requires travel to the sites on a weekly basis and hours many vary depending on site needs/requirements.
An MVA is applicable for this role.
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Reporting and Monitoring of Key Quality KPIs to drive Quality and Food Safety Improvements.
Oversee the management of all non-compliance issues and ensures correct processes are followed and corrective actions are implemented.
Responsible for driving continuous improvement to improve the Quality and Safety of our current and new products and processes.
Ensure compliance to the correct Quality & Food Safety procedures.
Ensures the Quality Improvement Plans for each site are kept updated and actions are closed out on time.
Actively participates in the Withdrawal and Recall process and work with sites through the Recall process to identify Root Cause Provides guidance through the new product development process to ensure the specifications are accurate and the Food Safety and Quality Risks are managed appropriately.
Ensures all Quality and Food Safety Hazards are identified and controlled.
Coordinates the GMP improvement program across the sites Ensures the implementation of the Lactalis Quality procedures across the sites Conducts Leadership Quality Audits to monitor quality risk across the sites Review Site Quality Dashboards and help sites understand trends and implement actions where required.
Data analysis and monitoring for weekly/monthly reporting Advising and supporting SBU sites and leadership team on all matters relating to quality What you'll need to succeed You will need to have: 5+ years' experience in a food manufacturing/FMCG quality role Tertiary qualification consistent with the industry (desirable) Knowledge/ understanding of GFSI, HACCP & Customer standards Strong communication skills and ability liaise/influence people all levels of the business Excel and SAP knowledge Strong continuous Improvement Focus Your ability to build relationships, solve problems and achieve results will only add to your success.
