Lead the Quality Team in a vibrant, large scale horticulture businessThe Quality Manager is responsible for managing and developing a small quality team whilst overseeing the continuous improvement and daily implementation of the Bulmer Farms quality-based food safety program.
The program is designed to protect brand integrity, ensuring business operations are maximised and audit compliance is attained.
Responsibilities will include: Lead Quality team meetingsLead inspection and reporting of:
- Food Safety and Quality Issues
- Pack house conditions
- Pre-requisite programs (Approved Supplier Program, Cleaning and Verification Schedules, Testing, Housekeeping, etc.)
- Incoming produce
- CAR / NCF
- Quality related equipment
- Products and processesConducting hazard analysisIdentification of critical control pointsPreparation for all external auditsExternal audit process (e.g. Certification)Engagement of internal stakeholders for the implementation of corrective actions and ensure follow through of practicesOur ideal candidate will have: Qualification in science, food technology or equivalentA well-developed knowledge and understanding of:
- HACCP
- Quality Systems
- Freshcare
- HARPS and other relevant standardsApproximately 5 years' experience working in a quality assurance environment preferably on farm or in a manufacturing / processing environmentDemonstrated understanding, management, and compliance of Food Safety requirementsStrong planning, people management and organisational skillsProficient time management with strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to respect and maintain confidentialityAbility to work flexible hoursBulmer Farms is a dynamic family business that values respect, safety and accountability.
