We have recently completed the expansion of the hulling and grading plant at Robinvale, Victoria to include a roasting and packing facility.About the role:We are seeking a passionate, committed and experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality team to oversee and ensure the highest standards of quality in our operations.
This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control systems to guarantee that our products and processes meet or exceed both internal and external standards.
The Quality Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and foster a quality-focused culture throughout the organization.
You will manage strategic quality management activities for pistachio hulling, drying, grading, roasting and packing operation at APPC.In your role as Quality Manager, you will:Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and standardsOversee product inspection and quality assessment program and manage the Quality Inspection team to ensure compliance with product and customer specifications.Lead the internal audit program.Work closely with the Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager and other departments to ensure high quality audit results across the business are achieved.Lead quality activities during the critical hulling season.Manage the product testing, regulatory and food safety program.Work closely with the team and ensure that they are motivated, engaged and provided with the adequate training & developmentLead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product qualitySupport NPD activities and projectsWho you are:The ideal candidate will possess the following:Prior experience within the Food manufacturing will be highly regarded.A strong discipline to policies, procedures and systems.Committed attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in quality management, Engineering, or a related field desirable but not essentialAbility to manage and motivate a team and build a cohesive team culture.Good communication and leadership skills.APPC offer a supportive environment, where tolerance and kindness are part of our everyday.
