Quality Managerc£38,000k & Company BenefitsDeesideA well-established food manufacturing business going through a transition period which is being spearheaded by the Directors are now looking for a Quality Manager to drive food safety standards across the site.OverviewThe role is with a food business that are producing products for major retailers in the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hands-on, factory-facing and retailer-focused food industry background. Happy to look at supervisors stepping up.Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Technical Manager the Quality Manager's duties will include:Managing the day-to-day activities of the QA team and driving standards across operations and engineering too.Ensuring the customer, company and legislative specifications and requirements are all in line with the QMS.Internal audits of systems.Liaising with customers on quality issues and co-ordinating customer visits/audits.Play an active role in the site HACCP team.Proactively communicating information to the business on quality performance.Managing training of the QA and wider teams on the site.Candidate ProfileHACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 but not essential.A working knowledge of BRC V9.Preferably you'll have a food science degree or equivalent.Proven track record as a Quality Manager/Supervisor in a challenging food manufacturing environment.This is a challenging role due to the changes in the business, so you need to be able to challenge the norms, improve behaviours and work well under pressure.If you're interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV via the link provided quoting reference HM/TNT/733.
