Our research activity spans physics, chemistry, molecular biology, applied mathematics and engineering.The Quality Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of reliability and precision in our microfabrication processes.
The role involves developing, implementing and monitoring engineering projects and technical operations, ensuring all laws, regulations, policies and safety standards are met.
You will be responsible for managing and operating state-of-the-art micro/nano-fabrication equipment, maintaining rigorous quality management systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and engineering specifications.
Be a part of cutting-edge innovation and excellence in microtechnology!The Quality Manager will be responsible for:Leading and delivering the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Program for microfabrication processes, ensuring reliability and precision.Managing and operating advanced micro/nano-fabrication equipment, including an epitaxial reactor for 4H SiC deposition.Ensuring compliance with engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, and performance.Providing staff training and guidance on technical issues and quality practices related to engineering projects, preparing risk assessments, and maintaining SOP documentation for QMF processes.About youTo be successful in this role you will hold a bachelor's degree or higher in the area of engineering, technology, material science, physics, chemistry or a relevant discipline along with extensive experience in a senior scientific role, or possess an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.You will also have:Proficiency in managing and operating advanced micro/nano-fabrication equipment, with a strong background in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and maintaining quality management systems.Excellent project management and analytical skills, with experience in ensuring compliance with engineering standards and contributing to research and development projects.Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a history of preparing risk assessments, maintaining SOP documentation, and providing staff training on quality practices.Thorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) procedures and requirements.What we can offerThis is a fixed term (three year), full time position and will be primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan).
As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.Salary RangeThe full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $110,939 - $124,803 per annum + 17% superannuation.
