Kimberly-Clark proudly leads the world in essentials for a better life. The Quality Manager will be able to communicate clearly within all relevant levels of the organization, maintain a balance between routine and non-routine activities, motivate and be systematic and methodical in approach.
This role is responsible for: All facets of Millicent Mill Quality Management Systems. Development and implementation of a Quality plan for the mill, incorporating Global standards and requirements, driving all Quality related KPIs. Coordination, together with the mill training team, of all aspects of training relating to the quality systems for the Millicent Mill, making use of the EtQ training module. Implementation of KC standard test methods, if required: approval of new and revised test procedures (through EtQ) and provision of relevant technical support to the manufacturing operations. Coordination and analysis of both internal and customer complaint systems utilizing ETQ complaints module, CRS reports and Tableau, ensuring appropriate follow-ups using ETQ QNC, CAPA, SCAR and the complaints module to complete root cause investigations, determine all preventative actions, and follow up to ensure preventative actions are properly completed. Application of standard problem-solving techniques like 5 why, 4 step problem solving, Kepner-Tregoe, fishbone diagrams, and the like; development of solutions to complex and diverse problems within the Millicent manufacturing operation.
The incumbent is also responsible for championing similar problem-solving activities within BCC mills supplying ANZ. Maintenance of the quality assurance lab to support the manufacturing requirements of the mill, ensuring the mill lab and its staff maintain KCC certification. Application of appropriate Change Management tools for all changes at the Millicent Mill that fall within the KC Change Management Standard. Identification and implementation of opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Management of RFT move program in ANZ DCs, driving improvements and participation. Role modeling the 3 quality obligations and continuously improving KC Quality Culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and support a comprehensive quality plan for the mill, which includes plans to drive all quality related KPIs, implementation of KC standards and systems, support, and enhancement of the mill QMS and visibility of quality to all stakeholders. Develop programs that identify cost opportunities and quantify the financial benefit of quality. Identify and track the cost of poor quality, develop plans to improve costs and look for opportunities to save. Build on existing systems to provide clear feedback to all stakeholders including R&D, marketing, mill operations and business leadership teams. Role model the KC quality obligations and continuously build a healthy Quality culture. Motivate and nurture the mill quality team whilst making active contributions to the team environment, sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to build an engaged workplace. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor Degree qualified in relevant discipline (Engineering or Science). Qualifications in statistics and/or Quality Management would be highly regarded, but are not a pre-requisite. Experience, Skills and Knowledge: Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality leadership role in FMCG environment. Mature understanding of ISO 9001-2015, and ideally some exposure to Auditing. You are analytical, systematic in your approach, display a bias for action and are able to communicate effectively to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
